All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
Proverbs 16:2,3

          Monday March 24 th  ~

          Thursday March 27 th ~

In the evening I accompanied my host to the movie theater to see "God's Not Dead".
          Friday March 28 th ~
I was able to share at the "Osceola Nursing Home" here in Ocilla about mid-morning for a fairly large group of ethnically diverse residents in this aging facility. They enthusiastically received the gospel message, which helped to lift my spirits as well.

          Saturday March 29 th ~
Spent time with my host, including an evening Emmaus gathering.
          Sunday March 30 th ~
Enjoyed the honor of sharing a couple of songs during the worship service at the Methodist church here in Ocilla. Then joined Jay and his sister Joy for lunch.

And so begins another week.

Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Proverbs 15:22

          Monday March 17 th  ~
Got a ride to the library to publish the newsletter. (Keeping the rig under a shed until the rains pass.) Then back to Sarah & Tom's to finish packing and organizing the Tour Bus here in Brewton, Alabama.
          Tuesday March 18 th ~
Out early running some errands, then parked at "The Quest House" next to "Dogwood Hills Assembly of God". One of the members (James) came by and did some caulking on the roof of the Cruiser, hoping to stop the leak.
"The Quest House" is a small house next to the church which has been converted into a kind of half-way house (prison ministry facility). At present only one man living here. I've been given permission to make use of the place to shower, but mainly I figured I'd take the opportunity to spread out on the kitchen table and work on the "Tax Chore".
          Wednesday March 19 th ~
Finished the yearly "Tax Chore" by late afternoon, then attended mid-week services here at Dogwood.
          Thursday March 20 th ~
Farewell breakfast with the pastor, then ministered at the "West Gate Village" nursing home here in Brewton.
Did the laundry-mat thing, then drove a short way to a campground.
          Friday March 21 st ~
Drove to Andalusia, Alabama and sang at the "Savanna Terrace" assisted living facility for a sweet group of folks. Then to Elba, Alabama for lunch and a visit with Brother Kenneth.
          Saturday March 22 nd ~
Spent the morning finishing the editing work on "Joy To The World". Did some final editing on two other songs for the upcoming Christmas Album. Then drove to "The Refuge" just outside of Quitman, Georgia.
          Sunday March 23 rd ~
Attended the first service at the United Methodist church here in Quitman where I got to share a song and praise report about the Cruiser. Then over to the Crosspoint church to say hi to some friends.
Back to United for their second service where I again had the opportunity to share. Afterwards, many folks slipped me gifts to help sustain the ministry. May God Bless Them!

And so begins another week.

My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, if you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth. Do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor's hands: Go--to the point of exhaustion-- and give your neighbor no rest! Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the Fowler.
Proverbs 6:1-5

             Monday March 10 th  ~
Yesterday I got a call from a couple (Sarah & Tom) who live in Alabama, offering their Class B Motorhome for the ministry.
Sent out the newsletter this morning from the Baptist church here in Macomb, Missouri, then headed southeast towards Alabama.
          Tuesday March 11 th ~
Yesterday I drove through Arkansas, Tennessee and on into Mississippi.
Today I stopped in Grenada, Mississippi and sang at "Grace Health & Rehab", then continued on into the southeast part of the State.
          Wednesday March 12 th ~
Arrived in Brewton, Alabama along about noon and got a look at the ministry's new "Tour Bus". Here is a picture (Click Here).
Attended mid-week services at the "Dogwood Hills Assembly of God" where I shared about this provision and sang "Mini Motorhome Medley".
          Thursday March 13 th ~
               A busy day!
Over to the Court House to transfer the title and register new plates for the rig.
Spent the rest of the day emptying out the minivan, dismantling the bed, curtains and such. Wore myself out.
          Friday March 14 th ~
Finished returning the minivan to Normal condition.
A couple (Eddie & Lacie) from the church had expressed a desire for the minivan. We got the paperwork taken care of for that today. I watched with mixed feelings as they drove it away.
          Saturday March 15 th ~
Having some minor difficulty controlling the Blood Sugar with all the physical activity.
Did an oil change on the rig and spent the remainder of the day trying to rest.
          Sunday March 16 th ~
Drove to church early. As I arrived a heavy rain began which revealed a bad roof leak and dry-rot around the skylight. I was able to park it back under the shed at S & T's to get it out of the rain.
Rode to church with Sarah and then again in the evening when the congregation gathered at "The Well" to say goodbye to one of their members returning to Ethiopia.
While there, I met James who has experience with RV repair and offered to help me with the roof problem.
("The Well" is a large Quonset Hut in Brewton which used to be the VFW. Several years ago it was donated to this group who have been refurbishing it into a fellowship hall among other uses.)

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God

Guard, Guide And Direct You.

A sluggard's appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
Proverbs 13:4

             Monday March 3 rd  ~
Winter weather advisory. Published the newsletter from a motel in Newport, Tennessee. Cold symptoms easing up.
          Tuesday March 4 th ~
Drove a bit west to a State Park. Feeling much better.
          Wednesday March 5 th ~
Ministered in the Alzheimer's Unit at the "Wyndridge Health & Rehab Center" in Crossville, Tennessee. While shaking hands afterwards, a lady said, "Thank you for coming and showing us that someone loves us." --- This, in an Alzheimer's Unit. Awesome!
Went into the main activity room of the same facility and sang a few at the end of their scheduled devotional. Then followed the devotion leaders across the parking lot to the "Cumberland Ridge" assisted living facility and sang a few more there.
Drove on into Kentucky, aiming for an Army Corp campground which turned out to be closed. But nearby there was a privately owned "Foggy Bottom Campground" where the owner (Roy) ended up giving me a free spot to park and plug-in.
          Thursday March 6 th ~
Sang at the "Fair Oaks" nursing home in Jamestown, Kentucky for a large group of residents.
          Friday March 7 th ~
Received an especially warm welcome at the "Barkley Plantation" assisted living facility in Cadiz, Kentucky. A few residents even remembered me from last year.
          Saturday March 8 th ~
Having crossed into Missouri I drove on to the Baptist church in MaComb and spent time with my friend's Allen and Phil.
          Sunday March 9 th ~
Enjoyed the honor of contributing a Special during morning worship services.
Got invited to lunch at a Deacon's (Colleen & Golden) home. Smothered steak and gravy. Yum!
Then during the evening service I got to share a bit.

And so begins another week.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Matthew 3: 16, 17

              Monday February 24 th  ~
In Chester, South Carolina I published the newsletter from the home of David, Amy & Gabby. Did an oil change on the van and time on the laptop.
To bed early. Cold symptoms persist.
          Tuesday February 25 th ~
Said my goodbyes to this dear family. David and Amy are highly intelligent Believers. They have both worked for NASA in the past. They also Both struggle with physical challenges.
          Wednesday February 26 th ~
A bit further north to a State Park and some bed rest.
          Thursday February 27 th ~
     Stayed put. More bed rest.
          Friday February 28 th ~
     Drove into North Carolina.
          Saturday March 1 st ~
A bit further north I found a dilapidated private campground for fifteen dollars and went to bed.
          Sunday March 2 nd ~
Decided not to go into a church today, possibly exposing more to this cold. Also decided not to go any further north for now. Drove west into Tennessee.

And so begins another week.
