Stopped to visit my little sister as I passed through Austin. Then the storm hit with single digit overnight temps. Then the electric power failed. For 45 hours. Brought into the house my portable propane heater designed for indoor use, which kept the temp at 58 degrees. The power came back on last night. Now the water has stopped flowing to the neighborhood. So much for going south for the winter.
