As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Ephesians 4:1-6

          Monday July 11 th ~

Published the newsletter from the "King's Grace" church in Junction City, Oregon. Hotmail blocked the updates from being sent out. So, I had to export the contacts to a second gmail account and send from there. Which made this chore rather time consuming this week.
          Tuesday July 12 th ~
Showed up at a tire shop in Junction City at opening time (7:30 am) for two new front tires and a front-end alignment. Then over to the assisted living facility in town where I was able to sing for the folks.
          Wednesday July 13 th ~
Ministered at the nursing home in Junction City.
          Thursday July 14 th ~
Sang at the "Crescent Park Senior Living" facility in Eugene. An upscale, three story complex with about a hundred residents. Three showed up for the gospel music.
          Friday July 15 th ~
     Took the day off.
          Saturday July 16 th ~

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23

          Monday July 4 th ~

Got over to the pancake breakfast put on by the Baptist folks here in the small town of Prairie City, Oregon. The laundry mat happened to be right next door so I took care of that chore as well, which gave me lots of time to fellowship.
Then drove to John Day, Oregon and ministered for some lovely folks at the "Valley Vista" ALF.
          Tuesday July 5 th ~
Drove to Redmond, Oregon and sang at the oldest nursing home in town which I was at about four years ago. The AD (Kim) greeted me with a smile, a hug and a chastising, "It's been a while".
Continued on into the Cascade Mountains to the RV camp Sherman where the manager (after visiting a bit) offered a second night free. And before I could get the wallet out, offered the first night free as well. Sweet! MGBH!
          Wednesday July 6 th ~
Took the day off. Got in a two mile hike along a river path. Had a nice long visit with my neighbor in the park who is also a Believer. An enjoyable/relaxing day.
          Thursday July 7 th ~
Drove west out of the mountains into the Willamette Valley and hooked up with some friends in Eugene and also arranged a couple of nursing homes for the next few days.
          Friday July 8 th ~
Sang for the folks at the "Brookdale" ALF here in Eugene. Then dinner with an old friend, Lynne.
          Saturday July 9 th ~
At the "Terpening Terrace" retirement community here in town I was able to share with some sweet folks and joined them for lunch in their upscale dinning room.
          Sunday July 10 th ~
Attended morning services at the "Bethany Church of Franklin" where I was able to contribute a Special. Then a nice visit with my friend Matt in Junction City. Ended the day across town at the "King's Grace" church for their Sunday night fellowship meal where I was allowed to park for the night and even given access to their shower and laundry room.

And so begins another week.

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, "Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Corinthians 2:14-16

          Monday June 27 th ~

Started this week in Sandpoint, Idaho where I'd been for a few days. After publishing the update from the home of Jon & Cathy, I decided to go south, staying in Idaho a bit longer.
          Tuesday June 28 th ~
Stopped in Winchester, Idaho and sang for a few folks in this small hamlets' residential care home which specializes in patients dealing with mental issues.
          Wednesday June 29 th ~
Drove to Grangeville, Idaho and sang in the two buildings of the "Meadowlark" residential care homes. Caught 'em as they were finishing breakfast, so I was able to share with everyone. Only one walked out.
          Thursday June 30 th ~
Continued south down some steep mountains to the small canyon town of Riggins where I was given permission to park and plug-in at the community church.
          Friday July 1 st ~
Drove up into some higher elevation to McCall, Idaho and sang at their nursing home. A mountain resort town, chuck-full for the holiday weekend. So, I continued south towards Oregon. Stopped in Cambridge, Idaho where I spotted a $15 RV spot with electricity to run the A/C on this 99 degree day. Was even able to get a shower at this little towns' laundry-mat. Nothing fancy, but it was free.
          Saturday July 2 nd ~
     Crossed the border into Oregon.
          Sunday July 3 rd ~
Attended services at the Baptist church in Prairie City, Oregon. One of the members invited me to join them to minister at the nursing home mid-afternoon. Got to share quite a bit.
Also got invited to an early morning breakfast tomorrow. So I decided to send off the newsletter this evening.

And so begins another week.
