For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.
Psalm 47:7

          Monday July 21 st ~
Published from the Foursquare church here in Lincoln City, Oregon. Then did the laundry thing in town. Followed by the oil change thing.
Arranged a nursing home for tomorrow and got a shower at an RV park in town. The manager (Chris) is a member of the church, and although I'm staying at the church nights, she has provided free showers at her park while I'm here. Sweet.
          Tuesday July 22 nd ~
Ministered at the "Hillside Place" assisted living facility here in Lincoln City for a lovely group of folks.
          Wednesday July 23 rd ~
Rainy day. Spent the afternoon with dear friend's Don & Pat, ending the day with their Home Group service which tonight was watching the movie "Heaven is for Real".
          Thursday July 24 th ~
Sang at the "Lakeview Senior Living" facility in their main dinning room, and was invited to stay for lunch.
          Friday July 25 th ~
Attended a delightful men's breakfast fellowship at one of the restaurant's in town. And enjoyed a sweet visit with the father and son owners (George & Cary) afterwards. Then ministered in the Alzheimer's section at "Lakeview".
          Saturday July 26 th ~
Drove north to "The Griffin House" residential care home just outside of Tillamook where I was able to share the gospel with seven residents and three roving staff members.
Then on to Rockaway Beach where a Sister in Christ provided a place to park.
          Sunday July 27 th ~
Attended the Methodist church in Bay City, Oregon where I was given the opportunity to share during their fellowship time after services. Then a delightful lunch with some of the members, before heading back south to the Baptist church in Lincoln City for their Sing-a-thon. Got invited to bring in the guitar for a few songs following the finger food social time.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.

Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.
Mark 4:18, 19

          Monday July 14 th ~
In Morton, Washington the desk clerk at a motel allowed me to publish the newsletter from her lobby, accessing their wifi.
          Tuesday July 15 th ~
Stopped in Longview, Washington and ministered at the "Frontier Rehabilitation" facility. Elaine (activity director) made a concerted effort to assemble a large group in a small room. We had a cozy---good ole time.
          Wednesday July 16 th ~
Having crossed into Oregon, I sang at "The Amber" assisted living facility for about eight residents. Then stayed a second night in the city park of this small town of Clatskanie. They are set up with cheap electric hookups ($10) including showers.
          Thursday July 17 th ~
Drove on to the coast and started south stopping in Wheeler, Oregon where I was able to minister at the "Nehalem Valley Care Center". Then on to Lincoln City to the Foursquare Church where I've been enthusiastically welcomed with open arms from the very first time I showed up here, many years ago. Refreshing!
          Friday July 18 th ~
Spent the day relaxing with a little walking around town and some visiting with Darrel (pastor).
          Saturday July 19 th ~
Attended a men's morning study and an evening prayer service here at Foursquare.
          Sunday July 20 th ~
At the worship service this morning I was given the honor of contributing several songs. Then a lovely couple (Don & Pat) treated me to a wonderful meal afterwards.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.

Since an overseer manages God's household, he must be blameless--not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
Titus 1:7-9

          Monday July 7 th ~
Sang at the "Cherry Hill" residential care home for three residents after publishing the newsletter from the "Gospel Mountain" church here in Thompson Falls, Montana.
Then crossed the Idaho border to Sandpoint and hooked up with Jon & Cathy, pastors at the "Church of God".
          Tuesday July 8 th ~
Spent the day at "Tom's Auto" getting the Upper Ball Joints replaced on the van.
          Wednesday July 9 th ~
Another day at Tom's Auto where he repacked the front wheel bearings, did a front-end alignment and installed a new transmission overdrive button which went out last week.
Still have an issue with a leaking rear axle seal, but that will have to wait.
I suspect that Tom gave the ministry a little break on the cost. He charged $500 for all that work (parts & labor). And Praise God the funds were available.
Along about mid-morning Tom loaned me his vehicle to get over to the "Valley Vista" facility where I'd scheduled to minister, first in the Alzheimer's section, then in the main cafeteria.
          Thursday July 10 th ~
Sang at the "Sandpoint Assisted Living" facility. A small/older establishment which seems to specialize in patients of varied ages dealing with mild cognitive disabilities. Our session started off slow, but through the course of our time together several wondered in, ending up with an enthusiastic group.
          Friday July 11 th ~
A hot high pressure weather system has settled over this part of the country, projected to linger for quite awhile. Time to get over to the far northwest to cooler temperatures.
Headed out shortly after 5:00 am. Drove west into Washington State all the way through the Columbia Basin on up into the Cascade Mountain Range to a primitive national forest campground.
The van handles much better after all that front-end work.
          Saturday July 12 th ~
Spent the early morning hours doing some writing, then drove west down out of the mountains to Packwood, Washington where I spotted a group doing some yard work at a church. Got permission to park overnight and was reluctantly invited to share their lunch.
          Sunday July 13 th ~
Throughout the years of this ministry there have been numerous times that I've received a sweet and loving welcome in churches. Unfortunately there have also been instances of a lukewarm reception as if my presence is simply being tolerated.
Most often I just endue it, praying for the folks and wondering If I messed up somehow. This morning I was moved to thank the pastor for the overnight parking spot and then gently stated, "I'm gonna head on".
Drove on to the next town and attended church there.
I hope and pray my actions helped in some way, and did no lasting harm.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace here, and she will honor you. She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor.
Proverbs 4:7-9

           Monday June 30 th ~
Accessed the internet at the "Morning Star Baptist" church here in Lame Deer, Montana to publish the newsletter.
Said my goodbyes to pastors' Dean & Kelley, then sped across this part of Montana in an effort to get on the west side of a windy storm front coming down out of Canada.
A turbulent ride at times, but I made it to a free campground on the Yellowstone River outside of Columbus where the storm passed me by.
          Tuesday July 1 st ~
Drove to Manhatten, Montana and sang at "The Parkhaven" retirement community. Then on west to Drummond, Montana to an inexpensive campground by the Rodeo grounds of this small town where the only other occupant was a family of Believers from Seattle.
          Wednesday July 2 nd ~
Continued west, stopping to minister at the "Emeritus" assisted living facility in Missoula, Montana. Sadly, there wasn't much staff involvement.
On to Thompson Falls, Montana to hookup with friends at the "Gospel Mountain Assembly of God" church.
          Thursday July 3 rd ~
Joined Charlie (pastor) to minister at a Boy's Ranch up the mountain where I got to share a bit about our Lord's provision with eight young men.
          Friday July 4 th ~
Fourth of July! Got in some long exercise/sight-seeing walks, and an afternoon get-together at Charlie & Kristi's house for a delicious meal and some play'n & sing'n on the back porch with several others from the church.
          Saturday July 5 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday July 6 th ~
Attended worship services here at Gospel Mountain where I enjoyed the honor of contributing a couple of songs. Followed by a pot-luck meal fellowship. Then again during the evening service I was given the opportunity to share a bit. They even provided a sweet Love Offering for the ministry's needs. May God Bless Them!

And so begins another week.
