Life Care of Fitzgerald

             Monday February 18 th ~     Published the newsletter from Allen & Betty Ann's house in Ocilla, Georgia. Been house-sitting while they're on vacation. A timely blessing while I'm stuck in the area dealing with an ear infection.

          Tuesday February 19 th ~

     Attended a men's gathering at the Methodist church in town.

          Wednesday February 20 th ~

     Enjoyed the opportunity to share in song, testimony and message at "Riverbend Baptist" just outside of Ocilla.

          Thursday February 21 st ~

     Sang at the "Life Care" nursing home in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

          Friday February 22 nd ~

     A scouting trip to Douglas, Georgia including lunch with a new friend (Chris) pastor of the Methodist church here.

     Visited with the owner (Sam) of an RV park "Dreamland" in Douglas. Looks like they're going to give me a free place to park, if I have to remain in the area (for healing purposes) after the house-sitting ends.

          Saturday February 23 rd ~

     Still very little improvement with the ear infection.

          Sunday February 24 th ~

     Drove the twenty-five miles to Douglas to visit the "Covenant Church" where an old friend (Steve) attends. Enjoyed lunch with him and his wife (Lola) afterwards.

    

And so begins another week.

Holt Baptist Church

             Monday February 11 th ~     Beginning the first full week of house-sitting at Allen & Betty Ann's here in Ocilla, Georgia. They're due to be gone for three more weeks.

     While I'm hoping to recover from this nasty ear infection, I've decided to make use of this opportunity for a time of healing, sabbatical rest and ministering in the area, as the Spirit moves.

          Tuesday February 12 th ~

     Attended a men's meeting at the Methodist church.

          Wednesday February 13 th ~

     Rest.

          Thursday February 14 th ~

     Appointment with Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. They cleaned a bit in the left ear and prescribed ten more days of medication followed by another C.A.T. scan.

     One of the local pastors (Chris) invited me to share at their Valentines Day gathering/party at the church in West Green, Georgia. The folks gave me a lovely reception.

          Friday February 15 th ~

     Ministered at the "Palemon Gaskin" nursing home in Ocilla. A bit of a challenge with the ear problem. But managed, with the Lord's help.

          Saturday February 16 th ~

     A day of rest.

          Sunday February 17 th ~

     Attended the "Holt Baptist Church" just east of Ocilla where I enjoyed the honor of sharing in song, testimony and message. Later, dinner with my dear friend's Jay & Kathy.

    

And so begins another week.

Allen & Betty Ann's

Nice place to convalesce.

     And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

             Monday February 4 th ~     Appointment with Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. They wanted to do a CAT Scan. When I asked what it would cost, they said, "We're going to keep it off the books". No Charge!

     It revealed: Cronic Serous Otitis Media, Left ear / Conductive hearing loss, bilateral / Eustachian Tube disorder, bilateral / specified superficial Mycoses / Aspergillosis. Basically a nasty infection. Left ear and middle ear, also affecting right ear.

     They removed some stuff from both ears. Sent me to Walmart for a bunch of medicine. And sat-up an appointment for next week.

     While in Douglas I connected with an old friend (Steve) for lunch with a men's group from his church. Then back to Jay & Kathy's to medicate (take my medicine).

          Tuesday February 5 th ~

     Attended a men's gathering with Jay.

          Wednesday February 6 th ~

     The Lord Provides!!!

     I've realized that I need to deal with this ear issue while near Doctor's who are so willing to work with my situation. And yet, I'm concerned about being a burden to my friends' Jay & Kathy. That is; over staying my welcome. Well, today I met with a couple from the church (Allen & Betty Ann) who are leaving on vacation for a whole month. And have invited me to stay at their house while their gone. Praise God!!!

          Thursday February 7 th ~

     Settled in to Allen & BA's house. An awesome place to convalesce. All the amenities including a back porch overlooking a semi private lake. What a timely blessing. Thank ya Jesus!!!

          Friday February 8 th ~

     First full day at the house.

          Saturday February 9 th ~

     Rest with a few chores.

          Sunday February 10 th ~

     Four churches in the area of Alapaha, Georgia assemble for an early morning "Breakfast Fellowship" before the services at their separate places. I'd been invited to be the "Guest Speaker" today. I enjoyed the honor, although it was a bit difficult. But the good Lord carried me through. One of the Pastor's had me sing a Special at the two churches he Pastors following the fellowship.

     Later in the evening I joined Jay & Kathy for dinner at their place.

    

And so begins another week.
