Austin, Texas

Along a Hiking Trail

Nice reception.
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him." Psalm 92:12-15

             Monday January 29 th ~
Started this week at the country home of cousins' Don & Sue Ellen, just outside of Burton, Texas.
          Tuesday January 30 th ~
Drove to Austin, Texas and hooked up with old friends' George and Richard.
          Wednesday January 31 st ~
Sang in the Alzheimer's section of the "Southpark Meadows". Followed by lunch with my little brother (Ray).
Some online research back at Richard's (where I'm parked). Then said hi to some friends at Jubilee Christian Center's mid-week service.
          Thursday February 1 st ~
Spent the day on the laptop doing online research for a possible future mission trip.
          Friday February 2 nd ~
Ministered in the "Senior Care at Onion Creek" here in Austin.
          Saturday February 3 rd ~
Joined a small group who have a unique Saturday morning study/gathering: The book of Proverbs has 31 chapters. Whatever calendar date happens to fall on any given Saturday (in this case the 3 rd), they read that chapter (3) and spend some time discussing those teachings.
They end with a prayer and then enjoy a fellowship brunch somewhere. Neat!
Later in the afternoon I got to spend some time with a lovely couple (William & Diane).
          Sunday February 4 th ~
Attended worship services at the small "Rivers" church where I got to share my testimony and one-minute-sermon.
Later I joined a singles group from "Jubilee", at the home of Sister Sarah for a Super Bowl Party.

And so begins another week.

Pelahatchie, Mississippi

Eufaul, Alabama
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra's den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 11 :6-9
