Laurel, Mississippi

"LaSalle Nursing Home" Jena, Louisiana
       And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

             Monday December 10 th ~
     Shared with about forty men at the "Teen Challenge" near Dodson, Louisiana. Showed the "My Journey Through Israel" video. Sang a medley of gospel songs. Testimony about the ministry. The guys sang along with "Jingle Bells". Then we had some question & answer time. Ended with the song "Do The Best You Can" and my One-Minute-Sermon.
          Tuesday December 11 th ~
     Sang at the "Wyatt Manor" nearby. This facility houses patient's of all ages dealing with mental issues.
          Wednesday December 12 th ~
     Ministered for folks at the old "Winnfield Nursing & Rehab" facility in the next town over.
     The associate pastor here in Dodson had arranged for me to share at "Friendship Baptist" in Sikes, Louisiana for a lovely group of country folks. Did something similar to our time at "Teen Challenge".
          Thursday December 13 th ~
     A rainy day.
          Friday December 14 th ~
     Back on the road headed east. Stopped in Jena, Louisiana and sang for a bunch before a group of children arrived to sing Christmas songs. Cute!
          Saturday December 15 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday December 16 th ~
     Having crossed into Mississippi, I drove on to "Salem Heights Baptist" near Laurel, Mississippi. These folks give me a place to park & plug-in as well as keys, to access their shower.
    
And so begins another week.

Dodson, Louisiana

Me 
      The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra's den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

             Monday December 3 rd ~     Started this week on a cousin's old farm near Round Top, Texas.
     A sweet visit with Donny as I worked on the newsletter, before heading out.
          Tuesday December 4 th ~
     Sang at the "St. Joseph" facility in Caldwell, Texas before their Bingo time.
     I get to this facility once a year about this time. The same activity director through the years. She gets excited when I show up. Gives me a big hug and immediately starts gathering folks in the dinning room. A warm/welcome feeling. Sweet!
          Wednesday December 5 th ~
     Crossed the border into Louisiana and ministered at "Desoto Rehab" in Mansfield.
     This is an old facility housing the poorest of the poor.
          Thursday December 6 th ~
     Shared with a large group at the nursing home in Coushatta, Louisiana.
          Friday December 7 th ~
     Connected with friends at the Baptist church in Dodson, Louisiana.
          Saturday December 8 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday December 9 th ~
     Attended morning and evening services here in Dodson where I enjoyed the opportunity to share a bit.
    
And so begins another week.

Round Top, Texas

The Old Farm
     The path of life leads upward for the prudent to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead.
Proverbs 15:24
             Monday November 26 th ~
     Published from the "Trinity Church" in Center Point, Texas. Then drove to Lakeway, Texas in time for a Home Church type meeting at Barb's where I enjoyed the opportunity to share a bit in song, testimony and message.
          Tuesday November 27 th ~
     Breakfast with my host. Then ministered at the "Brookdale" facility in Lakeway.
          Wednesday November 28 th ~
     Sang at "Senior Care at Onion Creek" in Austin, Texas.
          Thursday November 29 th ~
     Took a day off.
          Friday November 30 th ~
     Drove to La Grange, Texas and shared in their assisted living facility.
          Saturday December 1 st ~
     Spent a wonderful day on a cousin's old farm, celebrating his in-law's yearly Christmas gathering.
          Sunday December 2 nd ~
     Attended a Home Church type service nearby with a lovely group of folks.
    
And so begins another week.
