Columbus, Mississippi

Watch out for alligators!
Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.
Proverbs 10:12

Monday March 11 th ~     Two weeks ago the Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist in Douglas, Georgia did the "Tube Surgery Thing" to relieve middle ear pressure and drain infection. It worked. At today's appointment I was given a clean-bill-of-health.
          Tuesday March 12 th ~
Said my goodbyes and headed west, stopping in Tifton, Georgia where I ministered at the "Cypress Pond" assisted living facility.
          Wednesday March 13 th ~
Having crossed into Alabama I stopped at an older nursing home in Montgomery. I was here a few years ago when it was full. Turns out, they were shut down last year and had recently re-opened with only three residents so far. So, I sang for them and three staff members.
          Thursday March 14 th ~
Continued west to Demopolis, Alabama where I was able to share at the "Woodhaven Manor".
          Friday March 15 th ~
     Took a day off.
          Saturday March 16 th ~
Drove a short way today angling northwest.
          Sunday March 17 th ~
As I drove toward the Mississippi border the Spirit moved me to go to a nursing home instead of a church. (This happens every now and then.) I found the "Aliceville Manor" where the person scheduled to lead a morning service was a no-show. So, nurses gathered a bunch of folks and we did Church.

And so begins another week.

Ocilla, Georgia (6)

Final full week enjoying this view from my house-sitting opportunity.
What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task.

1 Corinthians 3:5
Monday February 25 th ~     For over a month now I've been seeing an Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist in Douglas, Georgia for a nasty ear infection. At today's appointment they did another CAT scan. After consulting, we decided to do the outpatient "Tube Surgery" thing. Ouch!!! That really hurt!
I see why they often put people to sleep to do this. Of course it's more expensive with anesthesia. The local anesthesia didn't seem to help much. But I survived.
Now the middle ear infection & pressure can drain. Another couple of week's of antibiotics, then hopefully a final appointment and back on the road.
In all this there's been a blessing. These folks have not charged me for the two CAT scans they did or the hearing test. And provided a 30% discount for paying in cash (no insurance). And Praise God! He has provided.
          Tuesday February 26 th ~
     Rest.
          Wednesday February 27 th ~

Ministered at the "Pruitt" facility in Ocilla, Georgia. A fella (John) asked if I'd sang at the Methodist church in town a few years ago, which I had. He attended there back then, now he's a resident here.
          Saturday March 2 nd ~

          Sunday March 3 rd ~
