June 9, 2014

Greetings,
For this week's newsletter click on;

The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. For Scripture says, "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages." Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that the others may take warning.
1 Timothy 5:17-20

          Monday June 2 nd ~
Published from "Inspiration Ministries" here in southern Wisconsin.
          Tuesday June 3 rd ~
Ministered at the "Kindred Hearts" assisted living facility in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
          Wednesday June 4 th ~
Drove into Central Wisconsin all the way to Stevens Point.
          Thursday June 5 th ~
Ministered at the "Care Partners" assisted living facility in Stevens Point. This complex has two separate buildings with kitchen and living rooms in each. So I sang for awhile in one, then went next door to share as well.
Continued north to just short of the Michigan Upper Peninsula where I stumbled onto a little wooded campground.
          Friday June 6 th ~
     Had a rough night.
Mosquitoes somehow found their way into the van and kept waking me up during the night. I finally got up about 4:00 am with an overpowering number (Dozens) of the little varmints nipping around. Reminded me of that scene in the movie "African Queen" when Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn eased their boat over to the river's edge and were immediately engulfed by a cloud of thousands of mosquitoes.
Well, I quickly got dressed and out on the highway by 4:30 am with the windows down trying to get rid of them.
Spent most of the day driving west through Wisconsin, on into Minnesota in an effort to get away from the infestation. Made it all the way to Camp Itasca RV Park and Campground which is managed by fiends' Craig and Rosann.
They introduced me to a can of Raid. (There were still a dozen or so of the little pest hang'n around.)
          Saturday June 7 th ~
Spent the day with my friends, including an evening meal at the Volunteer Fire Department's annual "Meat Ball & Gravy Benefit  Banquet".
          Sunday June 8 th ~
When I first arrived here I'd met the owner (Frank) who is an Elder at a Community church one-hundred miles northwest of here. He'd invited me to stop in, so I left this morning at 6:00 am and drove to Thief River Falls, Minnesota where I was given the opportunity to share about the ministry and sing a song.
These thoughtful folks even took up a Love Offering for the ministry. Praise God!

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Yours in Christ, Larry

P.S.    To God be the Glory!
