Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Matthew 5:4

          Monday August 18 th ~
Published from the Foursquare church here in Reedsport, Oregon and said goodbye to some long-time friends.
          Tuesday August 19 th ~
Sang at the "Harmony House" residential care home in Winchester Bay for two residents and one staff member.
          Wednesday August 20 th ~
At the "Inland Point" assisted living facility in North Bend, Oregon I was ministering for the folks when the charge nurse walked up and started harmonizing with me. She has a beautiful singing voice and joined in for several songs.
          Thursday August 21 st ~
     Laundry day.
          Friday August 22 nd ~
Sang at the "Life Care Center of Coos Bay" for a large group of folks. One of the men became very emotional during one of the songs, which moved the activity director (Sandy) to go over to hug and comfort him. Touching!
          Saturday August 23 rd ~
Finished the editing work on one of the songs "Rock of Ages". Click to hear.
          Sunday August 24 th ~
Attended worship services at the Nazarene church here in North Bend where I enjoyed the honor of sharing a couple of songs and testimony about the ministry. Then joined them at Sunset Beach (ten miles away) for an afternoon of fellowship and pot-luck meal with the whole congregation.

And so begins another week.

"This is what the LORD says-- Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come-- yes, let them foretell what will come. Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one."
Isaiah 44:6-8

          Monday August 11 th ~
Ministered at the nursing home in Junction City, Oregon.
          Tuesday August 12 th ~
Enjoyed a sweet visit with Brother Matt, then sang at the "Terpening Terrace" facility in Eugene, Oregon for an enthusiastic group of residents and staff who sang along, giving me encouragement all along the way.
          Wednesday August 13 th ~
Drove to Reedsport, Oregon where I've been given a place to park at the Foursquare church for many years now.
          Thursday August 14 th ~
Enjoyed some fellowship time with old friends, including a music night at the Methodist church where I was able to share a few songs.
          Friday August 15 th ~
Assembled another one-hundred Cd's for handing out in nursing homes, and sang in the extended care section of the hospital here in Reedsport for about thirteen folks. One fella was very attentive, lying in a mobile bed. About half way through I noticed him start mouthing the words to the songs I was singing. Found out later that he'd had a stroke and could not talk. Amazing.
          Saturday August 16 th ~
Assembled the Temporary Recording Studio at Deb's house and did a bunch of recording work. Deb Nichols is blind. She has a sweet singing voice and awesome keyboard abilities. She has contributed her talents to a number of songs in the last few Cd's. Today we worked on four of mine, then put together a song featuring her exclusively, on all the tracts. Click to hear.
          Sunday August 17 th ~
Attended worship services at the Foursquare church here in Reedsport where I enjoyed the honor of sharing a bit.
By the way, today is the ten year anniversary of the ministry. August 17, 2004 I ministered at a nursing home in Austin, Texas and hit the road shortly thereafter.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.

Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
Hosea 14:9

          Monday August 4 th ~
Having said my goodbyes to these dear folks in Silez, Oregon, I drove south along the coast road to Yachts, Oregon where I was able to minister in the "Sea Aire" nursing facility, and even allowed to park and plug-in for the night.
          Tuesday August 5 th ~
Drove south to Florence, Oregon and sang in the Alzheimer's section at "Spruce Point". Got invited to share their lunch, then along about mid-afternoon I was able to minister in the main activity room of this large complex.
This dear activity director (Annette) got together with the administrator and provided overnight parking on the property, a real blessing considering this touristy area on the coast is pretty expensive and crowded at this time of year.
          Wednesday August 6 th ~
Drove sixty miles inland to Eugene, Oregon and said hi to a bunch of old friends.
          Thursday August 7 th ~
Arranged some nursing homes and did the laundry thing.
          Friday August 8 th ~
Ministered at the "Alpine Springs" assisted living facility for a large group in the main dinning room. They have a small stage with a piano and a sound system. Using the microphone, aided in overcoming the ambient noise created by the staff making necessary preparations for lunch.
The timing was such that I suspect there were some coming in for the meal, being exposed to the gospel message, who would not normally have attended this function.
          Saturday August 9 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday August 10 th ~
Attended worship services at the "Bethany Church" in Franklin where I enjoyed the honor of contributing a couple of songs. Then got over to the "Kings Grace" church in Junction City in time for their second service. Lunch at a friend's (Rusty) house, then back to Kings Grace for an evening service where I parked overnight.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Then the end will come, when he (Jesus) hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
Corinthians 25:24-26

          Monday July 28 th ~
Published the newsletter from the Foursquare church here in Lincoln City, Oregon. Then had a delicious breakfast with Cary, the owner of the Sambos restaurant in town.
Drove to Newport where I was able to park overnight and shower at the Nazarene church.
          Tuesday July 29 th ~
At 5:30 in the morning I met the owner (Scott) of the "Winds of Praise" Christian radio station for a prearranged interview in his studio here in Newport. Then ministered at the nursing home for a sweet group of folks, followed by a delightful lunch with a dear Sister (Robin) and her dad.
Spent the afternoon and overnight at Scott & Kellie's in Siletz, Oregon about thirteen miles inland. Good timing, they had a slow cooked Pot Roast Dinner planned. Yum!
          Wednesday July 30 th ~
My host have given us the opportunity to set up the recording equipment in their large enclosed Pole Barn. The chance to do this kind of work only presents itself four or five times a year, so I've learned to jump on it.
Spent a good part of the day laying down some foundation tracks (drum, guitar, vocals) on two songs. Then one of the church members (Ron) came by with his mandolin to contribute.
          Thursday July 31 st ~
Laid down the foundation tracks for a third song. Then a drummer (Jordan) contributed his talents to the three songs currently in the works. Later, a Sister from the church (Sally) came by and shared some keyboard and vocal tracks.
          Friday August 1 st ~
     More recording work.
          Saturday August 2 nd ~
More recording with Jordan putting in some lead guitar parts.
Readjusted one of the songs to feature Sally as the lead vocalist and burned it to disc, as a memento for the congregation.
          Sunday August 3 rd ~
Attended both morning services at the "Sacred Ground Baptist" church here in Siletz where I was given the honor of sharing some songs and testimony. These dear folks even took up a sweet Love Offering for the ministry. May God Bless Them!
More fellowship time with this lovely family as I packed up the recording equipment in preparation for heading out tomorrow.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
