Woe to you who long for the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? That day will be darkness, not light. It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him. Will not the day of the LORD be darkness, not light-- pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
Amos 5:18-20

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16, 17
          Monday March 14 th ~

At the Baptist church in Macomb, Missouri I spent the day printing jacket covers and assembling Cd's for handing out in nursing homes.
          Tuesday March 15 th ~
Ministered at the "Country Living" assisted living facility in Mountain Grove, Missouri for a nice group of residents. But I did have to stop for a moment early on, and ask a group of four middle-age staff members at a table next to me to move their meeting to another room. Bless their hearts, I don't think they even realized that their laughing and talking was distracting the residents.
Toward the end, a large group of retired teachers began arriving who had a monthly meeting scheduled next, hosted by this facility. The president invited me to open their meeting with a couple of songs and my one-minute-sermon.
Then back to the church to pack-up the equipment and clean the office I'd been using in preparation for heading out tomorrow.
          Wednesday March 16 th ~
Breakfast with old friends' Sue & Phil, then drove to mid-Missouri to the Fayette Caring Center. One of the few nursing homes where I'm encouraged to park overnight and even given use of their shower facilities.
          Thursday March 17 th ~
Spent $2 at a thrift store for a coat. Left mine at Sue & Phil's yesterday over a hundred miles south of here. They offered to mail it ahead of me to Indiana. Bless them, I like that coat.
Sang for the folks this morning here at the "Fayette Caring Center".
          Friday March 18 th ~
Drove to the small town of La Plata, Missouri and shared with the residents at their nursing home.
          Saturday March 19 th ~
     Took a day of rest.
          Sunday March 20 th ~
Drove to Greentop, Missouri and attended a little Baptist church where I was given the honor of sharing a bit during the service, then on to Ottumwa, Iowa to the Christ Church where I joined the members for their evening service and fellowship meal.

And so begins another week.
