Junction City, Oregon

"Boiler Bay" Oregon Coast
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3, 4

          Monday July 16 th ~
Ministered in the "Lakeview" memory care facility in Lincoln City, Oregon.
          Tuesday July 17 th ~
The low-back problem which shows up every once in a great while has reared it's ugly head. Something to pray about?
Drove to Newport, Oregon and sang at the "Avamere" nursing home.
          Wednesday July 18 th ~
Continued south to Yachats, Oregon and shared with some folks at the "Sea Aire" assisted living facility.
          Thursday July 19 th ~
Drove inland, stopping in Veneta, Oregon where I was able to minister at the "Sherwood Pines" residential care home with eleven residents.
Small world. The wife of an elder of a church I attended years ago is now living in this facility.
          Friday July 20 th ~
Parked at an old friend's place in a country area called Franklin. Not a full town, just a rural fire-station, a couple of churches and some houses scattered about.

Lincoln City, Oregon

"Believer's" Men's Group Fellowship
Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing." Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the believers to the grace of the Lord. He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
Acts 15:36-41

          Monday July 9 th ~
Started this week in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. Drove down to Eugene, Oregon in the Willamette Valley and touched base with some olds friends.
          Tuesday July 10 th ~
Arrived at the Foursquare Church (Kings Grace) in Junction City, Oregon during their staff meeting. Surprised all with, "He's Back".
Gordan (Pastor) upon hearing about my tooth problem, arranged an appointment with a christian dentist in town for the same day. Bradley (dentist) felt he could save the tooth with a crown and sat it up for the next day.  Awesome!
          Wednesday July 11 th ~
Enjoyed the opportunity to share with a "Believer's" group of 14 men in song, testimony and message at a country church nearby. Then to the dentist where they were training with their new equipment to produce permanent crowns in-house. Took about three hours. I was their second guinea-pig. So, between the church and Bradley's generosity, there was no charge. Praise God!
Attended mid-week services at Kings Grace.
          Thursday July 12 th ~
You've heard it said, "If it's not one thing it's another".
While crossing the coastal mountain range heading for the coast, I felt something give, as I applied pressure to the van's brake petal. Brake/ABS light came on. Brakes continued to function and fluid level stayed constant, so I continued on to Newport enjoying lunch with a dear Sister (Robin). Then on to Lincoln City, Oregon for a visit and dinner with old friends' Don & Pat.
          Friday July 13 th ~
Attended a men's breakfast fellowship at a local restaurant. The owner (Cary) referred me to a mechanic across the street, who couldn't fix the brake issue, but shared that on this old rig the ABS was only the rear brakes and when the system failed it reverted to normal braking like we use to have before anti-locking brakes. So, I can keep going.
Ministered at the "Hilltop Senior Living" facility in town.
          Saturday July 14 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday July 15 th ~
Attended the Foursquare church in Lincoln City. Then enjoyed a sweet visit with my friend Darrell.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.

"Camp Sherman" Sisters, Oregon

"Truly I tell you," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life." Luke 18:29, 30

          Monday July 2 nd ~
Began this week in Sandpoint, Idaho where I've spent the past weekend with old friends Jon & Cathy.
Said my goodbyes this morning and crossed into Washington State.
          Tuesday July 3 rd ~
In Republic, Washington I was able to minister in the assisted living facility attached to the hospital in this small town. Then settled into a relatively inexpensive campground at the county fairgrounds.
          Wednesday July 4 th ~
Sang in the nursing home (long term care) section of the hospital here in Republic. Later, while eating lunch, part of a tooth broke off. Time to start looking for a dentist.
          Thursday July 5 th ~
Drove to Tonasket, Washington and shared with a bunch of folks in the hospital's long term care wing.
I've learned that many small towns around the country have been able to stay open by converting or building sections into nursing homes.
          Friday July 6 th ~
A driving day. South through half of Washington State to just across into Oregon.
          Saturday July 7 th ~
Continued into the Cascade Mountain Range of western Oregon.
          Sunday July 8 th ~
Attended the "Chapel in the Pines" at Camp Sherman which is just outside of Sisters, Oregon.
These lovely folks gave me the opportunity to share a bit in song, testimony and message.

And so begins another week.
