Lincoln City, Oregon

"Believer's" Men's Group Fellowship
Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing." Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the believers to the grace of the Lord. He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
Acts 15:36-41

          Monday July 9 th ~
Started this week in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. Drove down to Eugene, Oregon in the Willamette Valley and touched base with some olds friends.
          Tuesday July 10 th ~
Arrived at the Foursquare Church (Kings Grace) in Junction City, Oregon during their staff meeting. Surprised all with, "He's Back".
Gordan (Pastor) upon hearing about my tooth problem, arranged an appointment with a christian dentist in town for the same day. Bradley (dentist) felt he could save the tooth with a crown and sat it up for the next day.  Awesome!
          Wednesday July 11 th ~
Enjoyed the opportunity to share with a "Believer's" group of 14 men in song, testimony and message at a country church nearby. Then to the dentist where they were training with their new equipment to produce permanent crowns in-house. Took about three hours. I was their second guinea-pig. So, between the church and Bradley's generosity, there was no charge. Praise God!
Attended mid-week services at Kings Grace.
          Thursday July 12 th ~
You've heard it said, "If it's not one thing it's another".
While crossing the coastal mountain range heading for the coast, I felt something give, as I applied pressure to the van's brake petal. Brake/ABS light came on. Brakes continued to function and fluid level stayed constant, so I continued on to Newport enjoying lunch with a dear Sister (Robin). Then on to Lincoln City, Oregon for a visit and dinner with old friends' Don & Pat.
          Friday July 13 th ~
Attended a men's breakfast fellowship at a local restaurant. The owner (Cary) referred me to a mechanic across the street, who couldn't fix the brake issue, but shared that on this old rig the ABS was only the rear brakes and when the system failed it reverted to normal braking like we use to have before anti-locking brakes. So, I can keep going.
Ministered at the "Hilltop Senior Living" facility in town.
          Saturday July 14 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday July 15 th ~
Attended the Foursquare church in Lincoln City. Then enjoyed a sweet visit with my friend Darrell.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Your Brother in Christ, Larry Eugene Stevens
