          Monday September 3 rd ~

     Started this week in Eureka, California.

     Breakfast with my friend Fred. Replaced a burnt out headlight bulb on the van. And published from the First Covenant Church.

          Tuesday September 4 th ~

     Said my goodbyes and headed on down the coast, angling inland to Ukiah, California.

     A bit of a shock leaving the western coastline with high temperatures in the 60's to highs around 90.

          Wednesday September 5 th ~

     Before I left Eureka, Fred gave me access to their second home in Ukiah. Today I took a full day off with a morning walk and time lounging around the backyard swimming pool reading and relaxing.

          Thursday September 6 th ~

     Microwave bit the dust.

     Got over to Walmart for a replacement, then to the "Mountain View" assisted living & memory care facility where I got to minister for a lovely group of folks.

          Friday September 7 th ~

     Began working my way east today. Stopped in Marysville, California to sing in their nursing home.

          Saturday September 8 th ~

     Crossed the border into Nevada.

          Sunday September 9 th ~

     Visited in three churches today, ending up at "The Homestead" senior & memory care community where I was allowed to share with the folks.

    

And so begins another week.

          Monday August 27 th ~

     Published the weekly newsletter from the "First Covenant Church" in Eureka, California.

          Tuesday August 28 th ~

     Sang for a few folks at the "Redwood R & R" residential care home.

          Wednesday August 29 th ~

     Enjoyed the honor of sharing with a bunch of folks at the "Teen Challenge" service here in Eureka.

          Thursday August 30 th ~

     A sweet visit with Fred (elder at Calvary Church) during breakfast. Then ministered at the "Frys" assisted living facility.

          Friday August 31 st ~

     Attended an early morning men's fellowship here at First Covenant.

          Saturday September 1 st ~

     A nice day of fellowship; first with friends' Fred & Carolyn watching a college football game at their house, then dinner at the home of Joe & Doreen (new members at First Covenant).

          Sunday September 2 nd ~

     Enjoyed the opportunity of presenting the sermon at "Calvary Community" in Fields Landing, followed by lunch with Fred, Carolyn & Daphne.

    

And so begins another week.

Eureka, California

Parked and pluged-in beside the First Covenant Church in Eureka, California.

    Then he (Jesus) got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!" He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

          Monday August 20 th ~

     Started this week in Brookings, Oregon.

     Crossed the border into California noticing some smoke haze from the wild fires.

          Tuesday August 21 st ~

     Took a day off.

          Wednesday August 22 nd ~

     Continued down the coast along the 101 highway through some impressive redwood forest. All the way to Eureka, California where I hooked up with folks at the First Covenant Church which gives me a place to park, plug-in and shower while in the area.

          Thursday August 23 rd ~

     Ministered at the "Especially You" residential care home for seven residents.

          Friday August 24 th ~

     Attended an early morning men's meeting here at First Covenant, then sang for some folks at the "Seaview" nursing home.

          Saturday August 25 th ~

     A day of rest.

          Sunday August 26 th ~

     Attended the "Calvary Community Church" in Fields Landing, just south of Eureka where I enjoyed the opportunity to share a bit during the service.

    

And so begins another week.
