The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
Proverbs 16:33
          Monday February 22 nd ~

Hartford, Arkansas is a very small town. A little coal mining, a convenience store, but no grocery store. However, they do have a Senior Citizens Center where I was able to access the internet and send out the newsletter.
Also, the church I connected with many years ago has a small cottage across the street where I can get showers. and since they won't be using it until Wednesday night for classes, I sat up the T.R.S. (temporary recording studio) and started working on a couple of songs.
          Tuesday February 23 rd ~
One of the church members (Reed) passed on yesterday morning. The pastor (Marshal) asked for a recording of the song I sang Sunday morning titled "Warriors Go Home" written by a pastor (Charlie Denson) in Montana.
So, I finished it up today and burned it onto a Cd and got it over to him. He told me they were planning on playing it at the funeral Friday.
          Wednesday February 24 th ~
Finished recording & editing the new song the Lord gave me last week. "Bingo" Click to hear.
Lunch at the Senior Center, then during evening services I had the opportunity to share with some 30 to 40 kids. Little one's from 2 feet tall to teenagers. It takes 2 trips in the church van to gather these children from homes with little to no spiritual guidance. An awesome ministry in this small town.
          Thursday February 25 th ~
Drove to Greenwood, Arkansas and sang at the "Golden Years Village" assisted living facility.
          Friday February 26 th ~
Stopped last night at a church in Havanna where I was able to park and plug-in to run the heater on this 25 degree night. Up early and on to Russellville where I was able to minister in the Alzheimer's section at "Stella Manor".
          Saturday February 27 th ~
Laundry day. Also, not feeling well.
          Sunday February 28 th ~
Seems like I've picked up a Bug (Chest Cold), which means I can't expose folks in nursing homes until it passes. So, I drove to a cheap ($10 a night) campground I know of in Jonesboro, Arkansas to ride out the storm with aspirin, lots of fluids and bed rest.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
          Monday February 15 th ~

Published the newsletter in Idabel, Oklahoma. Then had lunch with my pastor friend David.
          Tuesday February 16 th ~
Ministered at the "Memorial Heights" nursing home here in Idabel. Then on the way out of town I stopped at one of those quick lube places to have the front-end fittings lubricated. I was encouraged to inspect the undercarriage of the van while it was parked over the pit and low and behold I saw that one of the new shocks installed a few weeks ago had been put on upside down.
They corrected it for me for a very minimal charge.
          Wednesday February 17 th ~
Sang at the "Baptist Village of Hugo". First in the activity room before bingo was due to start, then over in the Alzheimer's unit.
Guest we need a new song "Can't Get in the Way of Bingo".
          Thursday February 18 th ~
Ministered at the old nursing home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Feels like a tooth is acting up. Something to pray about?
          Friday February 19 th ~
Drove to McAlester, Oklahoma and sang at the "Walnut Grove" facility.
          Saturday February 20 th ~
The Lord gave me a new song today "Bingo". Worked on it in the van for a few hours, then got in a hike to view Robbers Cave in this State Park.
Drove to Poteau, Oklahoma to a laundry mat and Walmart stop, then crossed the border into Arkansas to the AG church in the town of Hartford.
          Sunday February 21 st ~
Enjoyed the honor of sharing in song and message in the morning and evening services here in Hartford.

And so begins another week.

My whole being will exclaim, "Who is like you, LORD? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them."
Psalm 35:10
          Monday February 8 th ~

Published the newsletter from a campgrounds' wifi in Pelahatchie, Mississippi.
          Tuesday February 9 th ~
Ministered at the "Heritage Manor" in Rolling fork, Mississippi.
A windy day! Making it difficult to keep this high profile van going in a straight line. In the little town of Cary, I stumbled onto a "Christian Center" ministry with RV hookups and access to a dorm for a shower.
          Wednesday February 10 th ~
Stopped in Greenville, Mississippi and sang at the "River Heights" healthcare facility. First in the front lobby for one group, then in the dinning room for a different group.
          Thursday February 11 th ~
Having crossed into Arkansas, I paused in El Dorado to sing for a rather large crowd at the "Hudson Memorial" nursing home. Then on to a cheap ($15) County campground just outside the town of Magnolia.
          Friday February 12 th ~
Drove to Hope, Arkansas where I was able to share the Gospel in the "Hope Haven" assisted living facility.
          Saturday February 13 th ~
     Crossed the border into Oklahoma.
          Sunday February 14 th ~
Attended the Methodist church in Idabel, Oklahoma where I was given the opportunity to share a bit in song, message and testimony. These dear folks treated me to lunch and even put me up in a motel room for the night.

And so begins another week.

Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
John 5:24
          Monday February 1 st ~

Sang in the south wing of the "Crowne Health Care" facility in Eufaula, Alabama. Then across the complex to minister in the north wing of this large older nursing home.
          Tuesday February 2 nd ~
Drove west to Selma, Alabama where I was able to share with some lovely folks at the "Lighthouse" nursing home.
          Wednesday February 3 rd ~
After a night of noisy thunderstorms, I spent the day at a State Campground just outside of Selma allowing the remnants of this severe weather system to pass by.
          Thursday February 4 th ~
Ministered at the "Park Place" in Selma. A rather large facility.  In addition to the group gathered in the activity area, they had a state-of-the-art camera & sound system piping our session into the rooms of residents confined to their beds. Nice!
          Friday February 5 th ~
Crossed the border into Mississippi to the town of Forest where I was able to sing for some folks at the "Lackey Convalescent Home".
          Saturday February 6 th ~
     A day of rest.
          Sunday February 7 th ~
I had the privilege of attending worship services at the "Mount Parmel M.B. Church". A large African American congregation in Pelahatchie, Mississippi where I was given the honor of sharing a song along with a couple of short messages.

February 1, 2016

Greetings,

As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "Truly I tell you," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."
Luke 21:1-4
          Monday January 25 th ~

Attended an early morning men's meeting at the Methodist church here in Ocilla, Georgia. Then back to my friends' Jay & Kathy's house to publish the newsletter.
The new shock absorbers for the van (which I ordered when I first arrived in Ocilla) came today. To my surprise, J & K had arranged with Lee at the parts store to cover the cost. Sweet!
          Tuesday January 26 th ~
Tadpole (one of the church members here) is a mobile mechanic working out of a converted ambulance. He came by today and installed the shocks on the van. When he'd finished, I asked him with wallet in hand, "Okay now, what do I owe you?" He answered, "Your company is sufficient". Wouldn't let me pay.
     What a Blessing!
          Wednesday January 27 th ~
Said my goodbyes and drove north to Fitzgerald where I was able to minister in the Pruitt Health nursing home facility. Then on to a "Teen Challenge" complex near Dublin, Georgia where a large group of RV'ers were gathered working on major renovations. They were able to squeeze me in for a place to park for the night.
          Thursday January 28 th ~
Sang at the nursing home in Cochran, Georgia. Then drove a bit further west; thinking I could park at a church building I'd stopped at last year for one night. When I got there, it was gone. Turns out it had been destroyed by fire this past summer.
          Friday January 29 th ~
Shared with a sweet group of residents at the "Magnolia Manor" in Americus, Georgia.
          Saturday January 30 th ~
Continuing west, I crossed the border into Alabama.
          Sunday January 31 st ~
Attended an all Black congregation in Eufaula, Alabama. These beautiful Believers invited me up to share during the service, some songs along with some short messages. What an Honor!
When I sat down (to my surprise) the pastor announced that the offering they were about to take up would go to this ministry. With a lot of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollar bills, these poor folks put together almost a hundred dollars to help me minister in nursing homes. Humbling!

And so begins another week.
