Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.
Proverbs 12:16

          Monday August 21 st  ~
Started this week in North Bend, Oregon where a marine layer of fog had rolled onshore during the night. So I drove north about fifty miles to the "Sea Lion Caves" which was above the fog bank. I was able to view the solar eclipse from there.
          Tuesday August 22 nd ~
Headed south toward California. Had to turn back. Coast highway was closed due to the "Chetco Bar Fire".
Folks at the church here in North Bend had invited me to their family camp this coming weekend which is located along the path I'll have to take to continue south. So, looks like I'll be here a few more days.
          Wednesday August 23 rd ~
Ministered at the "Baycrest Village" in Coos Bay for a sweet group of folks.
          Thursday August 24 th ~
Across town at the rather large "Baycrest Memory Care" facility I was able to share with a lovely group of residents.
          Friday August 25 th ~
Drove eighty miles inland to the "Kellogg Springs Camp" to join the church group for their "Family Weekend Camp".
          Saturday August 26 th ~
Climbed a thirty foot ladder to a platform in the trees and braved the nine-hundred foot "Zip Line". Exhilarating!
Enjoyed the honor of sharing a bit in song, testimony and message at an evening service/gathering.
          Sunday August 27 th ~
Sang a closing song at the camp service this morning. Then drove south around the "Chetco Bar Fire" into California.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.

My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Proverbs 4:20-23

          Monday August 14 th  ~
Started this week in Bandon, Oregon where I sang at the "West Wind Court" for a few folks.
          Tuesday August 15 th ~
Ministered at the "Pacific View" facility in Bandon for a large group of residents in their memory care section.
          Wednesday August 16 th ~
Shared with folks at the "Harmony Estates" residential care home just south of Bandon. A rare instance where men outnumbered the women.
          Thursday August 17 th ~
Today is the thirteen year anniversary of the ministry. "August 17, 2004" I ministered in a nursing home in Austin, Texas and hit the road shortly thereafter.
          Friday August 18 th ~
Yesterday, as I headed south, I stopped at the "West Coast walk through Safari" where I got to pet a Bengal Tiger Cub. I can now say I had a tiger by the tail.
          Saturday August 19 th ~
Spent last night in Brookings, Oregon where a forest fire is burning seven miles away. Dark sky's and ash falling like snow flurries. Awoke this morning with a strong inclination to drive back north for two reasons. One, to get out of the smoke and also to be in an area to experience the solar eclipse coming up Monday.
          Sunday August 20 th ~
Made it back to North Bend, Oregon where I attended the Nazarene church.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

When Jesus heard what had happened (John the Baptist Beheaded), he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Matthew 14:13, 14
