Monday August 21 st ~
Started this week in North
Bend, Oregon where a marine layer of fog had rolled onshore during the
night. So I drove north about fifty miles to the "Sea Lion Caves" which
was above the fog bank. I was able to view the solar eclipse from there.
Tuesday August 22 nd ~
Headed south toward California. Had to turn back. Coast highway was closed due to the "Chetco Bar Fire".
Folks at the church here in North Bend had invited me to their family
camp this coming weekend which is located along the path I'll have to
take to continue south. So, looks like I'll be here a few more days.
Wednesday August 23 rd ~
Ministered at the "Baycrest Village" in Coos Bay for a sweet group of folks.
Thursday August 24 th ~
Across town at the rather large "Baycrest Memory Care" facility I was able to share with a lovely group of residents.
Friday August 25 th ~
Drove eighty miles inland to the "Kellogg Springs Camp" to join the church group for their "Family Weekend Camp".
Saturday August 26 th ~
Climbed a thirty foot ladder to a platform in the trees and braved the nine-hundred foot "Zip Line". Exhilarating!
Enjoyed the honor of sharing a bit in song, testimony and message at an evening service/gathering.
Sunday August 27 th ~
Sang a closing song at the camp service this morning. Then drove south around the "Chetco Bar Fire" into California.
And so begins another week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Your Brother in Christ, Larry Eugene Stevens
P.S. To God be the Glory!
