"Old Faithful Christian Ranch" Island Park, Idaho

"Old Faithful Christian Ranch"
Men's Retreat
"Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through its nose or pierce its jaw with a hook? Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? Will it make an agreement with you for you to take it as your slave for life? Can you make a pet of it like a bird or put it on a leash for the young women in your house? ....... No one is fierce enough to rouse it. Who then is able to stand against me? Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me."
Job 41:1-5.......10-11

          Monday September 24 th ~
Began this week in American Falls, Idaho.
Following the advice of old friends' Lyle & Barbara, I got over to the HealthWest doctors office in town which offered a first visit free of charge. Saw the Doc (Heidi) who prescribed some antibiotics for the tongue and neck swelling issue I've been dealing with.
At the pharmacy, medication was less than 10 bucks.
          Tuesday September 25 th ~
First full day of antibiotics. Seems to be working.
          Wednesday September 26 th ~
Ministered at the "Spring Creek Manor" here in American Falls.
          Thursday September 27 th ~
Sang for the folks at the hospital's nursing home in town.
          Friday September 28 th ~
Drove to Blackfoot, Idaho and shared with 8 folks in the "Gable" facility, then across the street to share with 9 folks in another.
Continued northeast to the "Old Faithful Christian Ranch" where I'd been invited to join a group of 2 dozen men for a weekend retreat.
          Saturday September 29 th ~
A full day! Staff provided three meals. Patrick (speaker) shared some thought provoking messages. We enjoyed some fellowship time. The organizer (Raff) gave me the honor of sharing in song, testimony and message at times.
          Sunday September 30 th ~
A morning breakfast followed by a worship service. Then said our goodbyes.
The camp director (Tim) allowed me to stay an extra night and opened up his office for me to publish the newsletter early.

And so begins another week.

The tongue issue is still there.
