Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing and benefits those who see the sun. Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.
Ecclesiastes 7:11, 12

As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.

         Tuesday April 16 th ~
At “The Haven” memory care facility in town, the staff greeted me like an old friend and immediately arranged for me to share with the folks, just before a group of children were due in for an Easter egg hunt inside the unit.

While walking by a lake, I sat down on a bench to visit with a fella who was using an electric wheelchair.
Don’t know if I was planting a seed (the gospel) or watering a plant. But I do know God makes things grow.

"Everything they do (teachers of the law and the Pharisees) is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called 'Rabbi' by others.
Matthew 23:5-7

Today I met Keith at the "Riverbend Heights" nursing home. Keith is a driver for a medical transport company who delivers residents to appointments and such. He exudes an uplifting, joyful personality. He shared with me, "Most all my passengers are Christians. We get to talking about Jesus and have a good time Praising God".
          Friday April 12 th ~
Stopped at the "Ashley Manor" in Boonville, Missouri. Then on to the "Care Center" in Fayette.
Many years ago the staff here gave me permission to park overnight on the property. Well, the night Charge Nurse did not get the message. Along about 3 in the morning, a policeman came knocking on the van. Thankfully, he believed me and squared it with the nurse.
One year later, they made sure the night crew got the message. However, during the night they got a call from the 911 operator asking if they knew that someone was sleeping in their parking lot.
We laugh about this every year.
          Saturday April 13 th ~
     A driving day.
          Sunday April 14 th ~
Having crossed into Iowa, I attended "Christ Church" in Ottumwa.
