          Monday September 22 nd ~

     There is a Christian radio relay station just outside of Redfield, South Dakota which is run by my friend Ted, a member of the Baptist church in town. This morning I was able to publish the newsletter from their wifi, then we got over to the courthouse to transfer the title and van license to South Dakota.

          Tuesday September 23 rd ~

     Ministered at the "Lakeside" assisted living facility here for a large group of folks. Also changed the van's insurance policy to South Dakota.

          Wednesday September 24 th ~

     At the DMV in this small town (which is only open twice a month) I was able to get a South Dakota drivers license. Finishing this process.

     All States have a provision for situations similar to mine. That is, no home, full time in motor-homes. This allows me to choose among many States. After some research I settled on South Dakota because they have no State Income Tax and no yearly vehicle inspections. Also their yearly license plate tags are among the lowest and their excise (sales) tax is only 3 percent.

     The ministry's mailing address will remain the same.

     Before leaving town I stopped at the "Golden Living Center" where I was able to minister in the Alzheimer's Unit.

          Thursday September 25 th ~

     Crossed the border into Nebraska to the town of O'Neill where I was able to sing at the "Evergreen" assisted living facility for a large group of folks.

          Friday September 26 th ~

     O'Neill is one of the small towns in this part of the country which provides free camping with electric hookups. Some of these also have a shower house.

     As I was leaving town this morning a policeman (who is also the Mayor) pulled me over. No problem. No ticket. Spent some time sharing about the ministry and gave him a brief tour of the van. (He's close to retirement age and thinking about getting something like this.)

     Drove to Osceola, Nebraska to the home of friend's Jo and Bill. Knocked on the door, no answer. Gave 'em a call. Bill answered the phone saying, "We're in Maine. Door's unlocked, go on in and make yourself at home, we'll be back Tuesday night."

     A minute later he called back instructing me on how to turn the water on to the house so I could shower and such. What an awesome display of Brotherly Love and Hospitality.

          Saturday September 27 th ~

     Did an oil and filter change on the van, as well as some other domestic chores.

          Sunday September 28 th ~

     Attended the first service at the Methodist church here in town, then got over to the Lutheran church in time for their second service where I was given the honor of contributing three songs and some testimony about the ministry.

     Joined some folks at the nursing home for an afternoon service where I was privileged to share in song and message.

    

And so begins another week.
