January 19, 2015

Greetings,
For this week's newsletter click on;

When King David was very old, he could not keep warm even when they put covers over him. So his attendants said to him, "Let us look for a young virgin to serve the king and take care of him. She can lie beside him so that our lord the king may keep warm." Then they searched throughout Israel for a beautiful young woman and found Abishag, a Shunammite, and brought her to the king. The woman was very beautiful; she took care of the king and waited on him, but the king had no sexual relations with her.
1 Kings 1:1-4

          Monday January 12 th ~
Published the newsletter from the Crosspoint Church in Quitman, Georgia. Then eventually got out to the country home of my friend Terry where I watched him and his wife feed the horses and chickens, ate dinner, then kicked back for the National College Football Playoff.
In this time zone the game didn't end until after midnight.
          Tuesday January 13 th ~
Drove to Nashville, Georgia and sang at the "Berrien Nursing Center", then on to Ocilla, Georgia where I hooked up with dear friend's Jay and Kathy.
          Wednesday January 14 th ~
Ministered at the "Osceola Nursing Home" here in Ocilla, then spent the afternoon pal'n around with Jay.
          Thursday January 15 th ~
Hung out with Jay all day, unloading Food Band delivery at the church, a pastor's monthly meeting in the next town over and some various errands here and there.
          Friday January 16 th ~
Ministered at the "Palemon Gasken Nursing Home" here in Ocilla. As I was going through the halls Strumming up Business before I was scheduled to sing in the dinning room, a family member asked me to come into a room and sing for the bed-ridden resident who I suspect was close to passing. In a whispery voice this dear lady sang along with "Jesus Loves Me". Heartwarming!
          Saturday January 17 th ~
Joined my host at the church for their Food Bank distribution where I sang a few songs during the short service they hold prior to handing out the boxes of food.
          Sunday January 18 th ~
Attended the Methodist Church here in Ocilla where I was given the opportunity to share a bit about the ministry and sing a song.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Your Brother in Christ, Larry Eugene Stevens

P.S.    To God be the Glory!
