January 5, 2015

Greetings,
For this week's newsletter click on;

Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. "Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.
Luke 6: 20-23

          Monday December 29 th ~
Published the newsletter in Brewton, Alabama, then got over to "The Meadows" assisted living facility where I was able to minister for seven residents.
          Tuesday December 30 th ~
Did some editing work on one of the songs for the next Cd at "The Quest House".
This small house next to the "Dogwood Hills" church here in Brewton has been converted to a mission to house up to four men transitioning out of prison. At the moment there's no one here, so I've got the run of the place.
          Wednesday December 31 st ~
Finished the editing on "He Leadeth Me" Click to Hear.
Attended a New Years Eve celebration at "The Well" where I was able to share a few songs along with my one-minute-sermon.
"The Well" is an old VFW Quonset hut in town which was donated to the church. Tommy (Pastor) has done a fantastic job of refurbishing it for hosting "Celebrate Recovery" meetings, as well as church activities such as tonight.
          Thursday January 1 st ~
Spent the day laze'n around "The Quest House". Accomplished a few things; laundry, rest and installed new strings on the Gibson.
A tooth problem flared up a few times over the past couple of days. Something to pray about?
          Friday January 2 nd ~
Straightened up the house. Loaded up and drove to Elba, Alabama where I was able to sing at the "Taylor Mill Oak's" assisted living facility. The owners (Kenneth & Katrina) arranged for me to park at their church through the weekend, shower at their facility and even invited me to join them tomorrow for their delayed family Christmas gathering.
What an awesome display of hospitality.
          Saturday January 3 rd ~
A wonderful day spent with this family out at their country home. A delicious meal, sweet time of visiting and even got to share some songs.
          Sunday January 4 th ~
Attended the Covenant Community Church where I enjoyed the honor of sharing a medley, testimony and one-minute-sermon.

And so begins another week.

May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!

Your Brother in Christ, Larry Eugene Stevens

P.S.    To God be the Glory!
