Kalispell, Montana

"Foursquare Church" Kalispell, Montana

Ron
I'm parked at the Foursquare church in Kalispell, Montana. I first met Ron (the pastor) about seven years ago at a church on the Oregon coast where he was visiting. He'd previously pastor-ed there and was on vacation with his family. As I pulled in to the church parking lot, he was preparing to leave with his travel trailer.
We have a laugh every time we see each other because when I learned he was leaving that day I said, “Good, you're in my spot”.
Although a nice place to park with electricity, wifi and access to the church; there is no shower here. However, in town there is a place called “A Ray of Hope”. A lovely little homeless ministry (faith based) which allows me to get daily showers.
Today Ron has given me time to share with the congregation and arranged for me to do the same at another church this afternoon.

Thompson Falls, Montana

"Gospel Mountain Assembly of God"  Thompson Falls, Montana
For 33 years now Charlie Denson has been pasturing the Gospel Mountain Assembly of God church in Thompson Falls, Montana.
Today I joined him as we drove way up into the mountains to the “Wood Creek Boys Ranch” where he ministers on a regular basis. I enjoyed the opportunity to share with 20 young men ages 14 to 17 talking about God's provision and guidance through the years as well as some time answering their questions.
On a less positive note; got back to the church to find that the refrigerator in the van has stopped working. Thankfully I was able to move the food into the frig in the church and place some ice-cubes in mine to keep the insulin cool-enough and handy.

Lame Deer, Montana

Dean & Kellie
In Lame Deer, Montana on the “Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation” Dean & Kellie pastor the “Morning Star Baptist Church”.
About eighteen years ago they were living in Florida and felt called to go out into the Mission Field. They loaded up their three girls along with a pop-up tent trailer and headed north stopping at churches to help out for short periods of time. Eventually landing in Lame Deer where they were led to Pastor the church there.
Several weeks out of the year, Mission Teams come in from various places around the country to help out in an assortment of ways, usually staying for about a week.
This past weekend I enjoyed camping at the PowWow grounds with a large group from Colorado. As well as the opportunity to share a bit during Sunday's worship service.
This is the second year in a row that I've been here at the same time as the Colorado Group. Nice to connect with folks I've met before and spend time visiting around the campsite.

Minot, North Dakota

Shinny new Alternator.
After singing at the Trinity facility in Minot, North Dakota I was visiting with Dan & Eva who pastor the Lighthouse church where I park overnight while here. Shared with them that the engine light had come on the day before and judging by the way the battery gauge was acting I figured it was either the van battery or alternator, Dan say's, “I've got a battery in my garage that's only one year old. If it fits you're welcome to it.”
So, I got over to their place and sure enough it fit. We installed it but unfortunately the gauge showed; still not charging. Therefore we deduced that the alternator was the problem.
Two repair places we checked couldn't get to it for a week and a half. But the third got to it within a day and a half. And sure enough, their equipment showed the alternator was the problem. They had the correct part and got it repaired the same day.
All things considered, a minor hiccup.
