In
Lame Deer, Montana on the “Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation”
Dean & Kellie pastor the “Morning Star Baptist Church”.
About
eighteen years ago they were living in Florida and felt called to go
out into the Mission Field. They loaded up their three girls along
with a pop-up tent trailer and headed north stopping at churches to
help out for short periods of time. Eventually landing in Lame Deer
where they were led to Pastor the church there.
Several
weeks out of the year, Mission Teams come in from various places
around the country to help out in an assortment of ways, usually
staying for about a week.
This
past weekend I enjoyed camping at the PowWow grounds with a large
group from Colorado. As well as the opportunity to share a bit during
Sunday's worship service.
This
is the second year in a row that I've been here at the same time as
the Colorado Group. Nice to connect with folks I've met before and
spend time visiting around the campsite.
